The theme of the lecture was presented as an “Ancient Hellenic Symposium”…whereas students were given wreaths and transported back 2500 years to ancient Athens to attend a symposium introducing “EROS” the life force of the Hellenes: evident in their culture, their food, and everyday lives ever since antiquity. An amazing lecture was presented by Ms. Mariana Kokkinaki teacher at H.E.L.P. along with tastings of Hellenic gastronomic delights. As a remembrance gift our students were also presented with a bag consisting samples of olive oil, thyme honey and a sesame-honey bar, products from the sacred Hellenic land along with “Plato’s Symposium” the most beautiful dialogue ever expressed on “Eros & Love”.
